EFIWE NEWS: UISU Pres. Ojo Nifemi Suspended Indefinitely @studentsunionui



UISU Pres. Ojo Nifemi has been Suspended indefinitely by the Students' Representative Council, University Of Ibadan.

According to reports reaching Unibadan Efiwe, it reads:

"There are much indications that the President of the Union might be suspended, but the deliberations is still ongoing. The charges against him were; negligence of duty, not carrying the SRC 6th Assembly along in the sale of the Marcopolo bus, No legal documents to back the sale of the bus, inability to control and harmonize activities of the Executives Council and other allegations."

"Two motions on ground - The first motion is that the President of the Students' Union should be suspended indefinitely with conditions attached to it, and the second motion is that he should not be suspended immediately but allowed to do a  follow up as regards where he was negligent, write an apology letter."

"After the voting process, the President of the Students' Union, University of Ibadan Mr. Ojo Oluwanifemi has been suspended indefinitely, 61 Honourables voted, 40 Honourables voted for suspension of the President, 20 Honourables voted against the suspension of the President, there was one void vote."


Recall that UISU General Secretary, Oluwafemi Adegbola was also suspended today during the SRC Sitting.
