EFIWE NEWS: University Of Ibadan Medical Students' Association (UIMSA) Celebrates World Heart Day 2016


As the University of Ibadan Medical Students' Association (UIMSA) joins the  World to celebrate World Heart Day 2016, we say;
Protect your heart by;

1. Taking less of fat ladden foods but more of fruits and vegetables.

2. Quitting smoking if you smoke or don't smoke at all if you haven't started.

3. Reducing alcohol intake if you drink or don't start at all if you haven't started.

4. Engaging in regular fitness exercise(s). 5. Taking less of junks and processed foods, more of organic food products.

6. Avoiding excessive consumption of salt and sugar.

7. Quitting or reducing the consumption of fried foods, more of boiled and steamed foods.

8. Taking more of fish and less of meat.

9. Trying as much as possible to reduce sedentary lifestyle (sitting in a spot or staying in one position for so long).

10. Having regular medical fitness check up which should include blood pressure, peripheral arterial circulation, etc
