EFIWE GISTS: Nigeria Meritorious Awards (NIGMA AWARDS) Release Press Statement Concerning Closing Date For Voting @nigmawards

The Nigerian Meritorious Awards Group board of directors announced on Tuesday 30th of August 2016 at NIGMA head office in Abuja, Nigeria, that the voting for the student categories of awards will end at 11:59pm on 4th of September 2016. 

The Nigerian Meritorious Awards 2016 online voting commenced on 8th of August, 2016 with More than 2,000 student Nominees from over forty (40) tertiary institutions across the Nation.
The last few weeks of voting has been very impressive and Nigma recorded a massive turnout of voters. The 7 finalists for each category will be hosted at the grand finale of the Nigerian Meritorious Awards in Lagos on the 9th of October, 2016 in Lagos state, Nigeria.

It will be a night of glamour, iconic speech and lots of fun, Nigerian dignitaries and celebrities will also be awarded at the gala night. 

The group also announced that the names of the top 7 nominees with the highest votes for each of the student categories will be released a week after the online voting ends alongside the names of the dignitaries and the nominees for the celebrity awards.
The voting process will determine the top 7 student nominees that will be shortlisted for each category for the final round of screening. The award will be presented to Nigerian students that show the greatest promise of contribution to human well-being, through the creation and application of their activities, intellect and knowledge.
The group spokes person Mr Oluwasegun Oseni said “Nigerian Meritorious Awards deems to encourage and support Nigerian students in their efforts and to showcase their impact on their communities on the local, national and international levels".
As we all look forward to this great event, that will be one of the best in history and memory of many Nigerians, let us join hands to support an initiative that aim at appreciating and recognising Nigerians that have excelled in their chosen field.
